Every nowand then, a product comes along that I could never dream of parting waysfrom. The Synology DS-107+ arrived at my house a few weeks ago and it willnever leave it again, unless I do. The DS-107+ is a Network Attached Storageunit with many innovative features like Gigabit Ethernet, Windows ADSauthentication, USB printer sharing, dynamic website hosting, and databackup. Synology's website categorizes the DS-107+ as a small businesssolution; but at just over $300, it's affordable enough for most powerusers. Considering everything this unit can do, it is well worth the price.

The average price I can find for the DS107+ is about $330. Thisseems like an amazingly good deal as far as I'm concerned. It's externalstorage with gigabit Ethernet, a web server, iTunes server, backup utilityfor Cameras and USB drives. Plus the (near as I can tell), unique internalbit torrent download client that you can use from a remote location. It'snot so high priced that a small home business or family with a home networkand a couple computers can't afford it. With 500GB drives around $100, it'sa very cost effective solution.
